If you have ever played AION before, Classic or not, you will already know most of the problems you must face to enjoy the game. Most of us have questioned many times if there is anything we can do to enjoy the game without feeling burned out. Is there really a solution or quiting the game is sadly the only option?

Well, there are a lot that you can do that will make you log in in the game with a smile on your face again and start enjoying it every second of it.

AION Classic vs Free Time

AION Classic by its nature is a time-consuming game. What I mean by that is that 1-2 hours per day will not make you see a serious in-game progress. Now, if you have tons of free time then of course you can consider your self super-lucky and start grinding every aspect of the game untill you master everything.

However, most of AION’s players are struggling with that issue, since most of us have our 9-5 and other responsibilities. Starting the game by creating your desired character and level him/her up will not put you in pressure, but what happens when you reach the end level, where the true problem starts to shine?

Here is what I did after many years of playing AION on and off, classic or not. This is what works best for people like me, that have a heavy working schedule and if that works for us then imagine what it can do to you if you lean on the luckier side.

Take it Easy

I can’t stress this enough. You really need to take it easy if you don’t want to see yourself rage quitting the game!

Once you hit the end level you will realise that you will have to follow a daily routine before you do anything else in-game. But why is that? Well, if you want to work on the character you chose to play, you will have to follow a routine which depends on what you are working on.

For example, if you want to work on your PvP gear you have to do your dailies and weekly quests which are not limited in one map. You will also have to do some group activities too that will grand you with the desired ap (abyss points) that you need so you can buy your gear. On top of all that, you will have to face the enemy faction and that will slow you down drastically.

So what you can do before you go nuts and hit ALT+F4? The answer is simple. Do the best you can, when you can and TAKE IT EASY. You will still gather all the points or armor or whatever you are going for, it will just take you a few more days. And trust me on that, when you realise that you can still achieve your goals your mindset will completely change and you will start enjoying the game.

Depending on your free time and if you want to play daily or not, you can create the routine that works best for you and if you play with friends that follow the same strategy with you then it’s a win-win situation.

Crafting

For the love of God, please don’t start any kind of crafting or gathering/aethertapping if you don’t own at least some parts of your desired gear and accessories.

Crafting in general is a HUGE aspect of AION and will definitely ”eat” a lot of your time. That’s why it’s important to have already build your daily routine by working firstly on your gear, weapons, etc. This way you will already know how much time you can spend on other activities like crafting.

Don’t get me wrong, crafting is definitely something that you will need to go through at some point, since it’s a money maker at any of its forms. Just make sure to prioritise what matters the most in regards with your availability in-game.

Things To Consider

AION Classic offers many aspects of the game. Things like PvE, PvP and crafting are all demanding in terms of time. If you are a perfectionist then you will struggle a bit more to prioritise what works best for you with the limited time that you have. But remember, you can still enjoy the game and achieve your goals. It’s ok if it takes you a bit longer than others. At the end of the day everyone plays at his own pace and we can still all have fun and enjoy AION Classic and it’s beauty.

Playing with friends will make you feel way better even if they are not online the same time that you are. It gives a whole other dynamic to the game and your mindset, plus your in-game daily routine will finish a lot faster when you play together. AION Classic is not a contest that the faster player will win unlimited power and kinah. Take your time and enjoy the game day by day.

Events are happening very often in AION Classic and they offer a huge help, since they boost players with one way or another, so consider taking part everytime.

Conclusion

AION Classic is an amazing game that everyone can enjoy. It’s important to respect everyone in-game since not everyone follows the same routine in life. But most importantly, we as players, have to respect OUR free time and play according that. We can still enjoy the game and become strong and powerful AION’s players.

And if you ever reach your limits and want to quit the game, then please give yourself sometime and think twice. Is it really worth it? I think no, so I hope I will meet you in-game so we can play all together. Cause why not, right? Till then, happy gaming.
