Very recently, I played Koira’s demo, and I need to emphasize that this game is an absolute masterpiece!!! From the graphics to the music and storyline, everything just works together so amazingly well that you will be surprised.

Koira is a game about friendship. You, the main character, will meet with a captured dog, and you will share various adventures together. You need to build a strong bond with the puppy before he can trust you, though.
The game, in its own way, focuses on friendship and how important it is. The message that it practically sends is that friendship can overcome every obstacle, and it makes us feel that there is nothing we can’t achieve as a team. However, when we are separated, everything feels dark, scary, and lonely. But we can overcome these feelings so we can rebond, even if it’s hard.
I wish I could find the right words to express exactly how that game made me feel, but I am afraid that will not happen. It made me feel so many different feelings that mixed together perfectly in a way that I can not humanly express.

FUN FACT: Koira in Finnish means dog.
Gameplay
You will wake up in a forest where, at some point, you will find and save a captured puppy. Together, you will embark on a heartwarming journey, trying to solve ancient puzzles, avoid hunters to protect each other, and befriend other creatures as you try to find your way home.
Music plays an important role in Koira’s gameplay. It emphasises on feelings while you play. For example, when you are alone and scared, you will feel the agony not only in the graphics but in the music as well. The same logic applies when you are happy together with your puppy friend, the music is full of joy and excitement!
The demo for Koira will take players roughly 30 minutes to complete. Remember that bonding with the puppy is one of the core aspects of Koira and is integral to the overall experience, so don’t rush. Take your time to play games and bond with your furry little friend.

Koira is one of the few games that managed to stick in my mind. To me, it’s an absolute masterpiece and a must-play. I really wish more games like this one would be released in the future!
