You won’t even believe how much you can learn about the gaming industry and what’s being released just by listening to a couple of podcasts. Whether you’re driving, putting the laundry, taking a break, or cooking, these hosts will keep you entertained at all times.
Now, don’t get me wrong, not all podcasts are for everyone. If you listen to something that you didn’t like, continue to the next one, and you never know when you’ll find the best for your taste.
I wasn’t really a fan of gaming podcasts a year ago, but since we started this blog, I’ve started finding more and more in that niche, and I gotta say, some of them are pretty incredible and very fun to listen to.
Each podcast is available on multiple streaming platforms, and you can find all of them below its episodes, or play them straight through our website.
1. Get Played
Originally launched in June 2019 under the title How Did This Get Played?, Get Played is a weekly comedy podcast where hosts Heather Anne Campbell, Nick Wiger, and Matt Apodaca delve into the world of video games.
So basically, each episode is about a specific game or gaming topic, and they just have a lot of fun with it. The hosts are hilarious, but they also actually have some smart takes.
They usually bring on guests too (mostly other comedians or people who love games), so the conversations are always entertaining and kind of feel like you’re just hanging out with a bunch of funny friends talking about games.

Comedians and Video Game enthusiasts Heather Anne Campbell, Nick Wiger and Matt Apodaca discuss all things gaming. Join them as they joke about the games they’re playing, have played, and will play someday. Good games and bad games: It’s time to Get Played!
Craig Lee Thomas (Helldivers 2, DC Dark Legion) returns to the show to talk voicing Superman, donning the Helldivers 2 armor and to draft his favorite video game mascots with Heather, Nick and Matt.

2. The Nextlander Podcast
So the Nextlander Podcast is this weekly hangout with three guys, Vinny, Brad, and Alex, who’ve been in the games industry like.. forever. If you followed Giant Bomb back in the day, you’ll definitely know them. They’ve got great chemistry and tons of experience, so their takes on games are always solid but also super chill and funny.
In each episode, they talk about what they’ve been playing, what’s going on in the gaming world, and honestly, whatever else they feel like chatting about. It’s got this really laid-back vibe, like you’re just listening to a bunch of friends who really know their stuff.

Longtime friends and games media colleagues Vinny Caravella, Brad Shoemaker, and Alex Navarro share their combined decades of knowledge, expertise, and passion for games with weekly discussions about what they’re playing, what’s happening in the industry, and whatever else they’re up to.

The studio that created Fallout: New Vegas has had a busy year, delivering Avowed, the early access of Grounded 2, and now Outer Worlds 2. This latest release comes the closest to the team’s legacy in the Fallout universe. But can it achieve those high highs without the beloved trappings of post-apocalyptic America? And would you believe it has strong feelings about capitalism?

5. Triple Click
Triple Click is arguably one of the best and most entertaining gaming podcasts right now. It’s the perfect way to spend your time by listening to three different hosts who love sharing everything gaming-related, along with their personal experiences.
The Triple Click podcast is a weekly show hosted by Kirk Hamilton, Maddy Myers, and Jason Schreier. The podcast covers a wide range of topics, not limited to just video games but also including movies, books, and TV shows that the hosts are into.
Triple Click is part of the Maximum Fun network, a worker-owned cooperative that hosts a variety of podcasts across different genres.

Video games: They’re serious business! Except when they’re not serious at all. Each week on Triple Click, video game experts Kirk Hamilton, Maddy Myers, and Jason Schreier journey into the fascinating world of games. They’ll explore hot topics in video game news and culture, answer burning listener questions, debate the pros and cons of the biggest new games, and replay old classics together.
It’s time for a video-game grab bag as the Triple Click gang talks about some of the games they’ve been playing recently. They dive into Double Fine’s Keeper, the new indie sensation Ball X Pit, Supergiant’s Hades 2, and Absolum. Also they get derailed by the term “friendslop.”
